Necklace Details

Angel Skin Coral (Antique, ca 1920; extremely rare) – Precious Coral has been harvested and used for adornment for more than 3,000 years. Of the more than 7,000 species of coral, only 10 are considered precious and usable in jewelry as they have a porcelain-like luster when polished. Today, Precious Coral harvesting is highly regulated to protect this extraordinary living gem. Angel Skin Coral is a rare, highly prized coral, known for its delicate creamy white to light pink color, which is a natural aberration of the Pleurocorallium Elatius variety. Only found in waters off Japan and Taiwan, its stunning pale hues, decades of protected status, and scarcity means antique or vintage pieces are typically the only available gems.

Sapphire (yellow) – Sapphire is one of only four stones considered precious gems and comes in all colors except red and black. Its name, which comes from Ancient Greek and means ‘dark blue stone’, infers that blue sapphire was the first color discovered. Sapphire is the birthstone for September and considered a stone of wisdom, wealth, and protection around the world.

Coral (Mediterranean; vintage) – Precious Coral has been harvested and used for adornment for more than 3,000 years. Of the more than 7,000 species of coral, only 10 are considered precious and usable in jewelry as they have a porcelain-like luster when polished. Today, Precious Coral harvesting is highly regulated to protect this extraordinary living gem. Precious Coral is believed to possess protective, lucky, and healing properties and is given as a 35th anniversary gift.

Swarovski Crystal(Austria) – Swarovski was founded in 1895 following Daniel Swarovski’s invention of the world’s first electric-powered crystal cutting machine and lexicon of crystal cuts that produced a new level of crystal clarity. After viewing the Northern Lights, he partnered with Dior to create his famous Aurora Borealis, or AB, coating, a very thin layer of gold applied to half of a crystal’s facets to create an iridescent, shimmering effect. Today, Swarovski Crystals provide the sparkle for Beyonce and Taylor Swift’s concerts, most notably with 250,000 crystals on Beyonce’s red catsuit (Cowboy Carter Tour) and more than 5,000 on Taylor Swift’s guitar (Eras Tour), now housed at the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum.

14K Gold – 14K gold has a bright yellow hue and balances beauty with strength and resilience. Gold has been revered and coveted since ancient times, worn by royalty, and associated with the divine and sacred. This fine metal has long been connected with alchemy and reminds us of our innate potential for transformation and enlightenment. Gold is given as a 50th anniversary gift.
