Turquoise (Kingman; rare; old stock) – Turquoise has been mined in the Acerbate Mountains near Kingman, Arizona for nearly 2000 years. Kingman Turquoise is known for its striking sky blue color and black web matrix. The Kingman Turquoise Mine is one of the oldest and highest producing turquoise mines in the US; in the 1970s Kingman produced almost half of the world's supply of turquoise. Turquoise is one of December’s birthstones and considered a sacred and protective stone around the world.
Spinel (rare) – Spinel is a glittering, flashing stone that comes in every color of the rainbow and has a long history of being mistaken for other gems. In fact, the desire to distinguish ruby from spinel, most famously impacting the Black Prince’s “Ruby” in the British Crown Jewels, gave birth to the science of gemology!
