Coral (Mediterranean) – Precious Coral has been harvested and used for adornment for more than 3,000 years. Of the more than 7,000 species of coral, only 10 are considered precious and usable in jewelry as they have a porcelain-like luster when polished. Today, Precious Coral harvesting is highly regulated to protect this extraordinary living gem.
